We contacted Adrian White and his company Home Preservation Services to carry our major renovation and restoration works on our Grade II listed house in 2012/13.
Although Adrians' quote wasn't the cheapest we received, we were so impressed by the homes we visited that his company had recently renovated and from great recommendations from friends. We decided to trust our instincts. It was a very good decision indeed.
It took over a year to completely renovate our home as it was in very poor condition. All work undertaken was done to the highest standards with extreme care and attention to detail, from beginning to end. Adrian and his right hand man John Hyde have a trusted and highly skilled team of builders and craftsman and this is shown from the incredibly hgih quality of workmanship and finish that can now be seen in every room of our home.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Preservation Services to anyone who is looking for their home to be restored to its original glory and in our case, much improved.

I was first introduced to HPS in 1995 when we brough our present late C17th Grade II listed property in the knowledge there were essential repair and preservation works to be done. I have never regretted that introduction or the initial decision to seek the advise and recommendations of HPS and subsequently commission them.
Since that time we have used HPS whenever we have had need of expert work and most recently when some fairly extensive renovations were carried out. In all of our dealings we have found them to be extremely expert in methodology and techniques, in the selection and the use of most modern materials and applications and above all in working to estimated time and budget. Where the need for additional works has become evident during the course of the project, the reasons have been fully explained and costs agreed ahead of implementation.
There is little that seems to fall ourtisde of their expertise and it is of considersable comfort to be able to place all works in the hands of one contractor. Importantly, HPS is led from the front by hands on management involved directly on a day to day basis. In addition it has a strong team of dedicated and experienced direct labour together with, where necessary, first class and carefully chosen specialist sub contractors. I cannot speak too highly of the company and can recommend it unreservedly whatever the nature of the problem. Certainly I would use no other.

My wife and I are very happy to write a testimonial for the excellent firm of Home Preservation Services, High Wycombe. We first used them nearly 15 years ago and they did an excellent repair on the flint and brick wall at the back of our old cottage. This year, 2014, they carried our a magnificent restoration of the old brick work at the front of this listed building and revealed its original beauty.
They worked efficiently and with extreme care to ensure the very best results.

Fantastic job as ever. Thank you very much.
As far as testimonial goes how’s about?
How does the song go? Everybody has a drug-dealer on speed-dial?
I used HPS first 15 years ago and would never consider using anybody else. They go on your speed-dial.
They are not cheap but they only have one standard, which is applied equally to their workmanship, specification of materials, and personal dealings with clients, staff and tenants/adjoining owners. They are simply the best.
I have worked with Home Preservation Services for over 20 years on countless projects. During that time I have never encountered negative feedback from clients or other professionals.
They are a rare breed in the construction industry – never providing half measures, always diligent and committed to doing a good job at a fair price. If there were more contractors around who held these high standards the industry would have a better reputation with the public.
I look forward to continuing a working relationship that is aimed at quality work, improving the fabric of our historic buildings.”
